Earlier today, Raiser's Edge Database View was not accessible. This was a great opportunity to get our users to spend some time in Web View. The first thing they attempted was to replace a credit card number stored in a Pledge file. Web View doesn't allow users to update credit card information on pledges. I spent time confirming that with Raiser's Edge Support. Later today, I found out that credit card payments can't be applied to pledges. Pledge payments may only come via cash. First, I would have expected Support to tell me that credit cards can't be used for pledge payments while I was questioning them about credit card edits against pledges. Secondly, our users are more determined than ever to put off the migration to web view. They feel that credit card edits are pretty basic. Please give us this functionality.
