Yes. I use these to keep data clean and gift entry streamlined and consistent. If it can't be replicated in NXT, then DBV needs to be kept until your technology catches up.

Yes we need this! I saw the Business rules are now listed as planned as of today, but I really hope user-defined business rules are also planned (https://renxt.ideas.aha.io/ideas/RENXT-I-1261) but user-defined is such a necessary addition as well. There are so many admin settings that NXT is still lacking. Copying over my notes from that idea:

Aside from the standard very necessary business rules of invalid address, deceased constituent, etc. I have rules setup for:

• When entering a gift and the constituent selected is not the Head of Household

• When entering a gift and the donor has an active proposal entry/opportunity

• When entering a gift and a donor has an outstanding pledge balance

• When a constituent is an active board member to caution against making changes to the record

And another commenter mentioned this, which I plan to add right away: Prompt to update a deceased constituent's spouse addressee/salutation to omit the deceased constituent.

This is another situation where NXT is designed for the fundraisers, not made for the database administrators. We don't need a "clean look" we need the tools available to work for us to make for an efficient, clean database of accurate information so that we don't need more work and to go back and fix things constantly when they are entered incorrectly.

It would be great to see this come across to NXT - espeically since alerts are available. To have the option to create user defined rules based on queries would ensure my users/team have the most important information at the top of the profile.
