Security by group in Database View can be configured to allow users to not be able to view Prospect information on constituents. However, Lists in Web View display this by default and apparently there's no way to control this. This means that if we want to allow access to NXT Web View Lists to users with restricted data access (to check and update groups of records, for instance), there is now way to prevent them being able to see constituent prospect information.
I gotcha now, Mark. Yes, that is a known limitation, but I'll see if I can pull some strings to accelerate getting this cleaned up. Thanks so much!
Hi Travis. I had this setting selected, but the Prospect/Opportunity data was displaying as a default in Constituent Lists for the security group that was unable to access Opportunity Lists.
Hey Karen. As shown in the screenshot, you can set a Security Group's List Rights for Constituent, Gift, Actions, and Opportunities independent of each other. In this example, you can have a Group with permission to view all Lists except for Opportunity Lists.
But what if they need other list rights?
Hey Mark and Karen. The best option available now is to create a Security Group that does not have List Rights. Please see the screenshot attached here.
That's a problem. Security groups are set up for very good reasons, and this should be respected across the different iterations of RE.
