Our organization does not want the Prospect Management tile to be viewable by our development team (at all) but there is no way to hide individual panels, just the ability to minimize them (and this can be changed by each user. Additionally, we are able to hide the prospect status and classification in the database view, but not in the webview. Please add the ability to hide tiles and particular fields in the database view from certain security groups.
This would be particularly helpful if we would also add a security category that allows only a few people that are members of this security category from viewing sensitive information on a group of people that have the same constituent code for instance. So if I only wanted a select number of staff members to see VIP data, It would be great.
I would like to add to this that I would like for admins to be able to have the ability to hide a tile that is not relevant to some or all users. For example, we don't use JustGiving, but have the Peer-to-Peer fundraising tile showing with an error message. It would be nice to be able to hide that tile from all users.
Im assuming, if giving amounts are showing as $0 to users who dont have gift permissions, that it is also incorrectly showing a summary of whatever gifts the user has access to like if a user has permissions to view gifts only to certain funds/campaigns, that it would be only summarizing the giving that user has permissions to see also misleading. There is a definite need for some clear indicator that the user is not looking at the full giving history.

I agree with Bill's thinking here - I believe a simplified way to think of this is "View" access in permissions should enable tiles, lack of view should keep the tile out of the users view.
Updated the title to reflect this, marked as "voting open".
Please comment if there are additional considerations. Thanks in advance!
I'm not sure if this goes here or as a new Idea, but it appears that if View rights are not given to a user in the db view security, the Gifts tile in a constituent's record in the web view shows $0 giving instead of hiding the tile. This is at best misleading, at worst wrong--the constituent may very well have given lots of money and so the tile should not show $0. The tile should not be present just as the Gifts tab is not present in the constituent record in the db view if the user does not have View rights to it. (What do other tiles do based on no View rights to the info in the db view?)
