Based on what is listed in article 192399 after the first scan of your data a record will not be scanned again unless the preferred address is changed or a new record is added. Yet according to the article, it is always running in the background. I would say a large majority of the records don't change from year to year so how will they be screened again for deceased records? This service doesn't make sense. It should run quarterly like the NXT Address Finder. I was told by support that I should change the date of the preferred address for the records I want re-screened, which also doesn't make sense since I like to track updates on addresses. When I first enabled the service on 1/26/2023 it found 525 deceased records. In the last 90 days 1 record. In short, this is what the article says:
"Deceased Finder will screen all records automatically when the service is enabled. After that, any new records added or records where the Preferred Address is modified or a new Preferred Address will be screened within 24 hours.
There is no one single date for DeceasedRecordFinder in NXT, it runs in the background. You can review the records needing reviewed. Because the service is constantly running in the background there is no date that is displayed to show when a record will be screened again. If you feel this is needed, please visit our Idea Bank." Reason for this idea.
Also, in the initial scan, if you find a record that is not deceased "When reviewing the records, mark this record as Remove from List. It will be rescanned after 1 year.”
I see it runs in the background but no status is provide for us to know when it ran or when it will run again. From what I see it looks like nothing is happening. Which makes me not trust that it is working correctly or at all.
