View middle name easily on the constituent record
It would be helpful to be able to view the entire middle name as well as maiden name - probably in the 'Personal Info' section. For example, if looking for 'Thomas Alma Smith', we would currently only see "Thomas A. Smith" - however, "A" could stand for 'Alma', 'Albert', 'Alfee', 'Allison', 'Atikas', 'Arthur'...and so forth.

This is still a need. For both constituents and non-constituents, we need to have the ability to see the full middle name in the Constituent Summary section under Personal info. We have our web view settings set to do only middle initial with a period because it is too confusing to end users when they see the full name displayed and cannot tell if it is a middle name or part of the first name.
Hi Keri! In the spirit of this idea, I think the new setting will help at least display for the full middle name but I do understand the need to configure a display name based on a configured add/sal. Would you mind creating a new idea to track that specific request?
hi Trit, this doesn't really solve the problem if we change the display name to how our fundraisers know the person ("Preferred Last"). I'd just really like a field in the Constituent Summary that has all the name parts listed out. So many of our constituents use their middle name as their preferred name that "Preferred Middle Last" is really unprofessional looking and confusing. (Trit Trit Mulligan. Jarod Jarod Bonino, etc. if y'all were using your middle names.) Or it's misleading if the preferred name is completely different from the first name - (Junior James Smith. K.C. Caroline Williams. etc)
With the ability to configure the display name in Settings, you can select to include the Full Middle Name as part of the display name.
I'm editing the title of this idea to narrow it down to a request for displaying Middle name prominently, as maiden/former name is covered by another idea (https://renxt.ideas.aha.io/ideas/RENXT-I-646) that we are currently working on shipping. It seems that you can only see the middle and maiden names if you have permission to edit the name fields. I don't want to give everyone in our organization permission to edit names, but I do want them all to be able to see the full name. Here's a potential solution: show the full name, including maiden name, when you mouse-over the constituent's name.
We're a independent girls' school and it would be great for us to see maiden names as that's the name they would have been known be while here.
