View maiden name easily on a constituent record

When you look at a constituent record, the name at the top doesn't include maiden name.  Perhaps this could be an option or an add/sal?

Hey everyone, just wanted to chime in since there have been a couple of comments today. This is something that we are working on now and plan to release within the next week or 2. Once it has released, I will update this idea as Shipped. In the meantime, here is a sneak peek of what you will see soon on the Constituent record (my apologies for the completely randomness that is the sample data in this mock up):

"edit name" is not an option for me, I am guessing not for most without permissions

Inconceivable that the maiden name is not visible in higher education data base...

Thanks for the idea everyone! I agree that this is something we should be showing in a prominent place. No exact timeline for when we'll get it out just yet, but we do have it included in our backlog now. In the meantime, I did want to point out that you can at least see "Former name" on the "Edit name" form in NXT web view.

I heartily agree.  I work in planned giving and the majority of our constituency is retired teachers, mostly female.  It is crucial to have maiden names in NXT.  Please add maiden name to NXT!

Mahalo for considering this add. I can not tell you how important this is to our Institution AND the culture at our school. This is how we identify as woman, Maiden name included PLEASE!!

I agree wholeheartedly! We are a large school with tens of thousands of alumni that we always reference by maiden name! Pretty please!

This is especially important for the thousands of schools using RE that rely on Maiden Name for managing their women alumnae.

I agree. In Raiser's Edge we store the Maiden Name on the Bio1Tab (under MN) and under Alias so it shows up in searches when in RE.  There is additional important information we store on under Alias that I wish would also be included in the "Constituent Summary" box of NXT. For instance, former married names, other last names used (particularly if the constituent uses a different last name south of the US border).
