Changing upsell percentage amount

I love the new upsell gift feature; however, I would like the option to edit the default percentage on the upsell gifts functionality in donation forms designer

I 100% agree with Marlena. Asking a person to go from a $250 one time gift to a $1,056 yearly gift ($88/month) is very extreme and I am very reluctant to use Upsell because of this. To make it even more insulting is to list it as the first choice and have their "keep my $250" at the very bottom in tiny print. There needs to be some kind of user control here. I decide what to ask my donors, you should not.

The current percentages are a hard sell and seem like they might deter donors from giving at all. I would prefer to see these percentages at 20% & 10% of the one-time gift ($50 one-time would become either $10/month or $5/month) $120 or $60 annually is still better than $50 one-time while still being reasonable for the donor. I personally would never give 35% monthly - that would be over 4X my intended gift annually and I might be offended if I'm made to feel that what I'm willing to give is not enough.

I also think that the original gift that they clicked should still stand. So if someone decides to give $50.00, and opts in to the upsell suggestion of making a $25/monthly gift. They should still get charged $50, and then a monthly gift set up for the $25. The way it is now - the gift gets downgraded immediately and they are only charged $25.00 once they click for the recurring gift upsell

Thank for checking out our new recurring gift upsell feature and posting your idea! Just curious, what would you change the upsell percentage amount to? And would you use different percentages across all forms?
