Static date filters in Analyze

In Raiser’s Edge NXT, under Fundraising > Analyze, I created an Overview called Fiscal Year 2017. When first setup the date range was from July 1, 2016 – June 30, 2017, which is our Fiscal Year. However, whenever I open this specific Overview, the date does not display my original filter. For example, today it shows September 10, 2016 – September 9, 2017. The date seems to move into the future based on the day that I access the information.  As aside note, I have not selected any days in the "Select Last" field.  Therefore, I expected the date field to be honored.

I have similar Fiscal Year views setup for Campaigns, Funds, Appeals and of course the Overview that we are discussing and the Campaign, Fund, Appeal views are maintaining the Fiscal Year range.  I have provide an attachment of the Overview

Yes! This is so frustrating! I have several calendar year reports set up in Fundraising, and I have to fix the date every single time.

Any update on the "planned" status.  Analyze's value will increase tremendously when static filters are available.

Wow this was confusing! I like the "rolling date" idea but I thought when I set specific dates in the filter options, they would "stick". I'd been scratching my head all month about why it seemd to keep switching to random dates. (Because, of course, I wasn't checking it every day.) We need to be able to consistently pull up YTD information as well as last-X-days for reports. I see this is now planned, and I hope it's coming sooner than later.

Hey everyone. Thanks for logging this idea. I went ahead and updated the title to reflect the requested change. As has been noted in this Idea, the dates selected in the Analyze filters update over time. This is actually working as intended. The primary uses cases identified when we released the Analyze dashboards dealt more with relative (dynamic) time periods than static ones. I completely understand the request though and will work with the team to see what we can do to support it. I just wanted to update the wording of the title in the meantime so that others that share this request might be able to find it and vote for it easily.

Ditto. Same challenge and same recommendation - since there is a feature to "save a view" in the overview section of Analyze, we'd like to see that in reality and be able to save a view that holds to a specific date range. This is mainly for our development team leadership so they can see progress in real time towards the dollar goal over the course of the year. The way the rolling date works doesn't appear to make much sense. For example, today in the Overview tab the dates show up as 1/4/16 through 1/3/2017. If I'm trying to see what the year 2016 has brought in (a common practice I imagine), I have to change the dates each time since the saved view doesn't preserve the dates.

I am noticing the same issue and would also like it to hold the fiscal year dates that I have selected and saved the view.
