Capture Appeal and Package on Event Registration Forms
Want to propose that we be able to connect a specific Appeal and Package when creating an event in NXT. This would be in addition to the Campaign and Fund and would provide further detail for tracking/reporting/etc.
It would be great to assign appeal to our event registration forms. Previously, I would create a template for each event then pull in all the registrations for a specific event into one batch using the correct template. With NXT Event Registration Forms there are no templates or defaults making processing the gifts difficult.
Even better would be if we could also assign packages based on ticket purchase. Sometimes the different ticket prices are actually different packages or sponsorships. For example, a Golf and Tennis event has a tennis package, a golf package and dinner only options along with sponsorships that include a certain amount of golf or tennis players and a certain amount of extra dinner tickets. We track all of this using Packages.
Since we no longer get ticket type purchased via a copy of the email acknowledgement I now have to jump over the event registration record to figure out the appeal and package.
Yes! Appeal is critical for us in tracking event registrations. We use a standard "Event Registration" campaign for all events, the fund is a "registration" fund specific to the department sponsoring the event. But Appeal is what really designates "Summer Concert 2022" or whatever it is. Right now this is all manual entry as the fees come in.
The option to add an appeal (in addition to a campaign and fund) to an event would be very helpful to us! We set up one fund for each event - but it would be super helpful to be able to differentiate between sponsors and attendees at our events - being able to "code" this info through an appeal would be awesome. Thank you!
Agreed! We switched to NXT Event Registration forms from Online Express and in Online Express we were able to see which event the transaction was for in the batch while we were processing, which allowed us to code it properly, now we are going to have to go into each registrants record to establish which appeal and package to add. One step forward in terms of stopping event over-enrollment, but two steps back in terms of processing and keeping accurate data.
