While doing mass data cleanup in organization records where there are multiple old emails listed from dozens of years of old data, I use the comments to list which are for which type of contact (Volunteer contact vs. preferred) as my work hasn't come fully on board to using that information in the relationships tab, but that doesn't help when the comments don't carry over to NXT :/

Using Comments to note when an email address has Bounced (we tick Inactive). As this is not in web view we're having to use a workaround - adding a Notepad to the record giving the reason why the email address is marked Inactive. Bringing the Comments field over to wv would negate this. If it's NOT coming over please let everyone know in good time so we can adapt our processes.

It is important for our work to have comments. There are sometimes reasons why we do have the same number listed as different types or why we need an email to stay as primary even though another one might be used on registration forms. We need to be able to see, add, or update comments to the phone fields (phones and emails - which really should be separate entities).

Voted. The Comment is very important for us. We use the comment field to indicate when/where we received that number or email from. This keeps us from having to add an additional Note in the Notes tab and saves a lot of time trying to match up phones to notes.

Yes, I use this field to easily identify which email to keep when two records with the same email address both appear on my email lists. It literally saves he HOURS of time.

Yes, please include the Comments & date to fields in web view. The addition of Comments was a great update to RE as before users were adding notation to the phone field itself, which messed up querying and exporting.

I refer to phone number/email comments frequently when talking to donors. From a user standpoint, I add a year in the comment section whenever I have an opportunity to verify a current phone or email. While selecting one phone/email as primary is always preferred, sometimes donors provide 2 or more current phone numbers/emails, so I like to mark more than one active. Also, I do look at the date last updated fields in database view to determine if emails/phones are outdated when they bounce back. These are necessary features for the user in my opinion.

Yes, PLEASE make Comments and Date Last Changed available for phone numbers, email addresses, etc. This is very important for when we need to notate POAs, children, etc. as the contact person instead of the constituent themselves.

Our staff primarily consists of expats assigned internationally. They are required to make regular trips back to the US. Most of them get a temporary phone number when in the US. We use the Comments field to notate how long the phone number is good for. Example: "Valid June-August 2025". We delete the numbers when they expire. There is no other place to include this information.

Please add. We use this as an audit for where the data has come from.

I've found 6 & I bet there are more. This is one of the frustrating aspects of the Ideas area. It makes it harder to get Ideas seen because votes are shared across multiple Ideas.

I agree the comments field is a place to put very helpful info, but that is only viewable in the database view. All of our officers are exclusively using RENXT Webview & I'm very happy about that. The more useful the webview is for them the better!

I am also using "Phone Type Comments" to store useful info about all of our org's urls on a record for our org. But, in the Web View those comments don't appear with the Online presence links.

We run into issues with this frequently in regard to cell phone numbers. Database view shows which constituent the cell belongs to (constituent vs. spouse), but the valuable comment doesn't appear in NXT for the gift officer to see.

We really need this added into NXT

It is very frustrating not to have any flexibility with phone numbers in RENXT. If a record has two individuals, it is difficult to figure out which number is linked to which individual. One is forced to go to RE to look at the comments.

Really need this functionality - we consolidated many of our phone types and now use the comment to delineate the historical information. "Vacation Home" was removed, and is now "Home" but has comment of "Vacation" - we did the same thing for things like "Home Fax", "Business Fax", "Direct Line", etc where the detail of the old type is now living in comments and would be very helpful to have in web view.

It could either be implemented as a tooltip (pop-up), or a field when the number is clicked on.

Please make this feature available. Not sure why this is taking so long to implement.
