When entering a past action, you choose the action date. But at the bottom of the screen you have to re-enter the date to confirm that the day you chose for the action is the day that it was completed. Seems unnecessary – if you are entering it after the fact, then you know what day it was completed and will choose that date the first time. So – suggest that the second date entry be eliminated or at least default to whatever the first date entry was.
I wholeheartedly agree - the double entry is time consuming and usually leads to errors. It should default to the Action Date for a past action.
I am entering Actions right now that were supposed to be on one date (Action Date) but were completed on a different date (Completed Date), and even though both dates are in the past, we want them both in there so that we can tell if that Action was completed early, on time, or late.
If it's relatively easy to do for the developers, it would be great if this were a User Option. Then, any User can adjust the setting whenever necessary to either default the Completed Date to mirror the Action Date or to be Today. I would not want to see the Completed Date field be eliminated, however, as it was (if memory serves) a highly requested field.
