Our organization will not be using optimized forms until this information is included in what is transferred over to the gift record. Our finance department demands this information to be included in a crystal report that we sent to them. Manually adding in the credit card types on each individual gift record in CRAZY!

We request that credit card type information (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc.) be made visible during batch processing and approval of credit card donations. While this information is already captured by the system, it's currently not displayed in the batch processing interface, preventing staff from seeing which card types donors use during approval workflows.

Adding this field to batch processing screens, donation approval interfaces, and gift information summaries would provide significant operational benefits including improved processing efficiency, better quality control, and enhanced workflow management, while also enabling valuable analytics such as tracking donor payment preferences, optimizing payment processor relationships, and understanding donor demographics through payment method trends.

Since the credit card type data is already being captured, this appears to be primarily a UI enhancement that would provide immediate operational value and improved donor insights without requiring major system changes, making it a medium-high priority request that should be technically feasible to implement.

Credit cards can be processed before batch entry. However, in NXT Gift Management, when 'Credit Card' is selected from the payment method dropdown, the "credit card type" field does not appear. As a result, we have to commit the batch in NXT then switch to the database view, open each individual gift, and manually select the appropriate card type (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, etc.). Please Blackbaud make this field available in NXT!

I agree. We would like to be able to separate out AMEX gifts into a different batch but cannot easily do this without cross-referencing to BBMS.
