You should be able to create custom groups or sets within an insight to simplify the views and filters you want available to your users. For instance, some level of constituent code is useful, but sometimes I would want to filter just based on corporation, foundation, individual, government. Unless I sacrifice my current level of constituent code detail, I couldn't filter based on this base criteria set.
