Currently, in Lists, you can set filters for all the criteria you want to include, but it only treats filters with "AND" query logic. You have to create separate lists for additional criteria. There should be an "Or" logic to add layers of criteria within lists. For example, if you wanted to pull a list all constituents with a specific degree or all constituents who had given to a particular fund, you should be able to add an "or" layer. Right now, you'd have to make those into two separate lists. Since Lists is the closest thing to "queries" in RE NXT, it should be built out more with some additional features. This could even be an "Advanced Logic" option where maybe only certain users could be given access as to not confuse a basic list user.
I strongly support Art's comment as well. I'm going to look for that suggestion and vote that up also.
This should be combined with "Filters for NXT Lists should include the option of NOT" suggestion. Having only "AND" (and not making it obvious) was a poor design choice, and needs to be rectified ASAP. We need "OR", "NOT", and grouping ("(" and ")") as list filters to make them useful.
Thank you for sharing this. It helps me alot to add a layers on home page of my website labour hire melbourne. RE NXT really helped me alot to manage my funds and I think it is one of the best platform for this purpose.
Not having this option makes lists very limiting, and have to use the Database view.
I certainly agree with the others, NXT lists should have all of the capabilities as the database queries and exports. It would be a nightmare if the database was eliminated before the updates can be made to NXT.
