Sort by birthdate in Lists

I created a list to show which constituents have birthdays in the next week. There are 6 columns of information that I have it show in the list, including the actual birthdate, of course. The only column that I cannot sort the list on is the birthdate. It seems like it would be helpful to be able to sort on any column that is available for the List.

    We do the same and pull lists by month instead of by week so prospect managers can see who they need to reach out to for the month. In this case it would be even more helpful to sort by birthdate but specifically by birthDAY to show birthdays in order as you go through the month as opposed to showing youngest to oldest constituents or vice versa, based on the year they were born. It's a small change but would be really helpful for our prospect managers who want information quickly and neatly (without needing to pull info out into an excel doc and then sort by day).
