It would also be extremely helpful if recurring gifts with tributes could have the tribute automatically added to each gift. I spend a lot of time going through the automated recurring gift matches manually adding tributes that are already on the recurring gift itself.

Is this ability in gift Batch yet? Doing this by individual gift is very time consuming. We need to be able to link a gift in batch to a new tribute, before the batch is approved.

1. Click to enter a single gift and enter the core gift details (amount, date, constituent, fund, etc.)

2. Click Save, the page will then refresh and you will be directed to the new gift record page

3. Enter any linking data from the gift page for opportunities, tributes, etc.

It should be the same amount of clicks you are doing in DB view where clicking save in web view is the click you make to change over to the tributes tab.

So you say that I create the gift, save the gift, close the gift, open the gift, then add the information?

You can absolutely add tributes to gifts today. The experience is that you create a gift, enter the gift specific details and then you land on the gift record to enter all the linking details for anything extra. In batch, the experience will be that you can do all of everything in a single row for each gift.

I work at a Hospice. Almost every single one of our gifts is a Memorial Gift (requiring Tribute information to be recorded). We haven't made the switch to entering gifts in Web View yet - we were going to begin with the new fiscal year, starting on June 1st. Seriously: there is no ability to enter in Tribute information when creating a single gift entry in Web View? How do we do that, then?

@Lenny this function is coming to batch shortly. The only part we do not have plans for is for single gift entry because you do end up on the gift record, in batch that is not possible. We are working on finishing this update in our current slate of work.

Losing this function makes me want to rip out my hair. Having to add the tribute after completing the batch on the donor's record adds time and creates opportunity for error. Luckily our organization doesn't receive many tributes, but I can't imagine what a hassle it is for orgs who receive frequent tribute gifts.

Adding it when entering the gift would save a few steps and be super helpful!

We do not have plans to add the tribute functionality to the main add gift form. We are keeping that form to be as slim and reusable as possible by not adding all functions as tabs on to it. When adding a single gift, the form would capture the core gift details and then on save you land on the gift page where any additional items can be added (tributes, opportunities, etc.). This actually lines up with "the number of clicks" it would be in database view.

For batch entry, we will have all functions available there during the gift entry process since you are not landing on the gift page after approval and you are doing mass entry in that area.

Thank you- i see that i can add a tribute in web view AFTER the gift exists, but i do not seem to be able to add it while entering the gift, unlike in db view. Am i crazy? Snip attached.
