This suggestion will benefit the on the go fundraiser who needs accurate information now versus later.
I understand from reading the BB article https://kb.blackbaud.com/articles/Article/103876 that there are automatic refresh rates of 10 minutes for some things, 30 minutes for other things and 2-4 hours for other, yet the refresh rate should have a MANUAL override when the fundraiser needs an updated and accurate report. You can't hold up a meeting for a refresh rate of 30 minutes and especially 2-4 hours. PLEASE forward this to product improvement. Gratefully, Mark The reason for the suggestion is that I had to correct one donor's campaign, and add a campaign goal. Neither were updated when I went back to the NXT report. I hit refresh for the web-based report, and nothing happened, it just said last time updated was two hours ago.
The user-friendly nature of NXT lists (vs database view lists) is severely hampered by the terrible refresh rate. I'd love to be using NXT for all our basic list reporting, but if I'm going to have to wait 1/2 hr, 1 hr, for refresh, it's faster to query in database view, even with the extra time query setup takes....
The refresh rate is ridiculous, and I understand from support chat that changes made in database view trump changes made in web view. So, a staff member could make a change in database view before another user makes a change in web view, but the record will revert back to the database view change when it refreshes.
This needs to be implemented as soon as possible. Fundraisers are unable to keep track of what acknowledgement letters and actions they have completed as their work centres don't update for over 2 hours after they make a change on a constituent record. It is causing signficant issues for the whole team.
At times, when I review a report I will find errors. Unfortunately, once the correction is made to a record, I have to wait up to 2 hours for the report to be accurate. That is crazy! Please either automatically update every 10-15 minutes or provide a manual update.
From a user perspective the delay in the refresh rate is causing significant problems. It just tied me up for an hour, productivity decreased, and the donor I am working with still has not refreshed! I need confidence that the information I am sharing with key people is correct and it is not due to the refresh rate. If you are a fundraiser trying to optimize your time while being personal with donors, and have relevant and correct information, this is a necessary update. Mark Bailey
This is such a basic need that I am concerned that it has not yet been implemented!
