I know that if I enter data into that field, save the action, linking into Outlook – it will save the location in Outlook which is important so our professionals because it’s a single point of entry and all the data elements they need appear on their Outlook calendar. However, limiting them to a dropdown is not practical as we cannot possibly capture every location.
Yes, it would need to be a free-text field -otherwise the integration with Outlook is useless for future actions. Our people need to have all the appointment details in their outlook.
Also, over the years, if you make this table editable by anyone, it becomes a mess with lots of duplicates or near-duplicates and typos. A free-text field would be highly preferable.
