I just got spanked for adding a relationship between two donors that already existed that I forgot to check for.  If there was a pop-up error message that stated "This Relationship already exists between these two records. Are you sure you want to duplicate it?" it would solve this issue and save time having to check the record for both when you are adding multiple new relationships to a record at a time.
