In Giving Tile, Show Years Giving for Calendar as well as Fiscal Years (and make these filters for lists)

Currently, the # years giving on the gift tab is calculated by Fiscal Year. It would be wonderful if it ALSO showed us # of years giving for Calendar Year. For our donors, they do not think of giving in Fiscal Years, but in Calendar Years, so when communicating with them it would be much more helpful for our development folks to see total giving in Calendar years. 

Additionally, it would be wonderful to have this same calculated field as a filter in constituents lists. Something like "# of Years Giving" with options to choose Calendar or Fiscal year and how many year (5, 10, at least 15, etc.). This would be amazingly helpful in choosing which donors to reach out to for legacy and planned gifts. My development folks cannot believe that we can't pull out data by total number of years with gifts. It would be amazingly helpful and allow us a much more powerful way to utilize our data.

    Make this calendar year as well. This is needed and is available in database view.

    None of our donors want us to give them their total number of giving by fiscal year.

    If a donor calls up and asks for the total number of years they gave, if I gave the number shown in the tile today, which is in fiscal years, the donor would be confused and still ask for the number of years in calendar years. Also, the fiscal year number can reduce a donor's number of giving years by 2 or increase it by a year.

    For example, one of our donor's record shows 13 years of giving on the web view Giving tile, but in database view with calendar year set, it shows 15 years of giving.

    Without having this in calendar years, I would have to apologize to the donor, and either call them back after I calculate the number or sit on the phone with the donor while I hand count the number. All a disservice to our donor.

    However, with the option to have it set on calendar years, when the donor calls, we can quickly and confidently report the total years giving to the donor. This helps make a happy donor.

    Does anyone ever run donor recognition lists by fiscal year? I would think it should always run on calendar year because that is also how (individual) donors track their giving for tax purposes. Not to mention our donors don't know when our fiscal year ends or begins cause that matters zero to them.


    If NXT's goal is development first, tracking by calendar year is a MUST HAVE in the NXT giving tile.
