As it works now, if I add individual relationships to a company they do NOT show up when searched in the NXT search bar. After much trial and error, I found in Database View one has to select "Add this individual as a Constitutent" in order for their existence to be acknowledged in RE NXT. This is an unnecessary extra step.
This is one of many drawbacks NXT has for corporate fundraisers. Others are:
Many of us involved in corporate fundraising need companies and their contacts to be easily associated and are finding NXT poorly designed for our needs. I currently am very unimpressed with NXT. It was a promising idea which fails on execution and, as usual, we were not allowed to "test drive" the software before purchasing. As a CRM, NXT falls far behind other competitor softwares and also behind its own functionality for individual fundraising. I am currently warning my contacts in fundraising of these drawbacks when they ask if they should consider purchasing NXT.
