We need the "No Response" consent option to be reinstated in Raiser's Edge NXT Web View.
Our organisation imports consent responses from multiple sources. We use "No Response" when a supporter was presented with a communication preference question but chose not to respond. This is different from a situation where the question was never presented to the supporter.
For example, our postal and telephone preference statements are presented as opt-out statements:
"If you would not like to receive post/calls from us, please tick here."
If a supporter leaves the box unticked, they have been given the opportunity to express a preference but have chosen not to do so. We therefore import this as "No Response" and rely on Legitimate Interest as the lawful basis for those communications.
The key distinction is:
No Response = the supporter was asked but did not provide a response.
No consent record = the supporter was never presented with the question, so no response should be imported.
The "No Response" option was previously available in Web View but has since been removed. Without it, we can no longer accurately represent the outcome of our consent capture process, forcing us to use workarounds that reduce data quality and make our records less representative of what actually happened.
Please reinstate the "No Response" option so organisations can accurately record when a supporter has been presented with a preference question but has chosen not to respond.
