When using the NXT Events Module to create an online registration for an event, you cannot create a list of a la carte items without triggering a huge amount of information registrants need to enter. For example if I have a family of four registering for the following items for Alumni Weekend on a form:
Registration - Adult x2
Registration - Child x2
Raft Trip - Adult x4
Dorm Room (3 nights) x1
Dorm Room (2 nights)
the form requires the registrant to fill out participant information (at least name, email and phone number) for:
Registration - Adult #1
Registration - Adult #2
Registration - Child #1
Registration - Child #2
Raft Trip #1
Raft Trip #2
Raft Trip #3
Raft Trip #4
Dorm Room
While you can set if up to leave guest names anonymous (or add information later), this amount of data entry will cause our participants to not complete the registration. You can try our draft form here: https://host.nxt.blackbaud.com/registration-form/?formId=8285fcea-ebda-488c-a164-1652f2698902&envId=p-unKvfRvj1Ui2yNp1A1I2NA&preview=true
Blackbaud should simplify this process for a la carte registration items so the user interface allows registration as quickly as possible and entering as little information as required.
The ability for constituents to select to use a previous registrant when purchasing multiple registration fees is now available in RENXT. This will prevent them from having to retype the same participant information over and over again, when filling out the form. Please check out our What's New documentation for more information.
Hello idea voters!
We are currently working on a design that will help allow ala carte items to be supported in the NXT online registration form. I am looking for 5-10 customers to join an individual 45-60 minute discovery session over the next few weeks to look at some designs and provide feedback!
If your organization is interested in being part of this discovery, please email me at samantha.mcguin@blackbaud.com to request our open times. Please note we have limited sessions available and will be scheduling on a first come first served basis.
I look forward to your feedback!
