This is a request to include a new query type that is driven by the underlying tables (GIFTGLDISTRIBUTION and GiftGLDistAccount). Gift transactions posted to the GL, are viewable in database view at a one off level from the gift entry form in database view. (There is a related idea submitted to add that ability to NXT see -https://renxt.ideas.aha.io/ideas/RENXT-I-9493). When a gift transaction (pledge, payment, adjustment, installment whatever) is saved as Posted, the underlying GL "subledger" is snapshot with that transactional data along with the appropriated Fund GL Distribution at that time. This information is critical to balancing external ledgers and is currently only available in the database backup. This suggestion to create a new query type to fill the gap. Create a new category, "Gift GL Distribution" in the query tool, driven by the above mentioned data. Allow fund, gift and constituent info to be joined. Allow filtering by post date. Or create a report filterable by post date that can be exported to csv or excel. This improvement would be a step towards providing some without financial edge to have less reliance on nightly database backups. If this information is exportable currently, please share. Thanks!
