Enable Ability to Move Opportunities Between Constituents in Raiser’s Edge NXT

Opportunities are linked to a single constituent, and there is no way to transfer an existing Opportunity to another constituent without recreating it. This increases the risk of data loss or inconsistency, especially when Opportunities are initially assigned to the wrong record or when constituent relationships are updated.

Adding a built-in feature to move or reassign an Opportunity from one constituent to another while preserving all associated history (notes, actions, assignments, and stage progression) would significantly improve data integrity and user efficiency. It would reduce manual re-entry, minimize errors, and better support real-world fundraising workflows where prospect assignments frequently change.

if a proposal or opportunity exists on a org record or a spouse record, it would be beneficial to move the opportunity, and all connected actions, gifts, and attachments to a different constituent record without needing to rebuild it manually.

This would be hugely beneficial! Fundraisers don't often pay attention to which record should get an opportunity so having this feature would make it so easy to fix ones that were put on a spouse or organization contact in error.
