Constituent Window needed in Webview Gift Batch Entry
Idea https://renxt.ideas.aha.io/ideas/RENXT-I-8385 is showing as Shipped but it is not at all what users are asking for and need. We need to be able to have a window stuck to the side of a webview batch which displays whichever constituent you are working on in that row and stays visible as you click/tab through the row. It should allow users to customize which field(s) display for that constituent - such as bio fields, emails and phones, custom fields as needed. This allows us to verify and edit if needed as we go through the data entry process. The current configuration where you can temporarily pop open the whole constituent record is slow, cumbersome, and goes away while doing the data entry. Please just replicate what some smart person dreamed up in database view, it wasn't broken.

I agree - the invaluable key aspects of what we had with this in DBV was that it was
1) a customizable preview of only the fields you chose, and 2) Info was updatable in the preview and saved to the record.
Manually updating constituent contact details that come in with gifts, and doing spot checks (such as confirming the gift is entered under the Head of Household or that a spouse receives soft credit), is a core part of our role during gift entry.
Having a customizable pop‑up of editable fields that does not require opening a new window for both data checks and updating what we need if it doesn't match is essential for making high‑volume gift processing practical. Without this functionality, contact updates that accompany gifts - like a new address written on an envelope - simply don’t get done.
There are real process-driven needs behind why certain functionalities existed in DBV, and this is definitely one of them.
I cannot stress enough the need to be recreated in NXT WB.
Having a pop-up of the whole constituent record is not a replacement for this function it creates two major slow-downs: 1) You have to scroll for what you need to check, 2) if you need to edit anything, you have to open the record, then go edit each piece separately.
It does not provide a quick preview of just the fields the gift processor needs to check, and it does not allow for them to be edited in the same window.
I am so impressed with how far NXT has come in recent months - this is the next "must have for me in NXT Grid Batch."

100% agree! We need to be able to pin the window or have a way to easily see the full list of suggested donors. How many John Smiths does every database have? seeing the preview window flywheel in Database view and being able to customize what parts of the donor record are IN that preview are essential to gift entry

100% agree that the "shipped" solution does not really solve this issue and is very cumbersome compared to how we'd like it to work - and how it worked before!
Totally agree that the constituent window is superior to fly away. It's annoying to have to toggle between two tabs to see what used to be right there, because pretty sure I'm not going to be using the FlyAway
