Need to be able to use an asterisk to search for constituents and other information within the records
Searching for constituents or information in NXT is not as good as it is in the database view! In the database view there were different search fields we could use to search for any type of information on a record. We could search by name, email, phone or address. Event better we could use the asterisk sign to indicate we had some of the information, but not all and we were unsure of the order of the information and/or spelling. Now in NXT, we cannot use the asterisk, and we need to know the entire email address in order to search and get results. For example, in the database view I could type in "*jay" to find the email address (jaybird@gmail.com) but now I have to enter the entire email address in order to find it. What if I do not know the entire address? In NXT there is only one search bar instead of all the different specific fields (email, phone, name, etc.) to search for people and/or information and we need to know more information. However, in Database view we could use the asterisk or select a specific search field.

Allow this enhanced functionality in grid view batch when searching for a constituent as well. The ability to search on address, email, phone number could be helpful when entering checks as well to prevent possible duplicates as check would not have gone through the Online Giving Review portal
This would be so appreciated! We often have partial information, or use partial information to find a constituent. Perhaps their last name or first name has changed, or we do not have an entire address or email, or their email has changed from .yahoo to .gmail. Not to mention the loss of efficiency in having to enter full information rather than a portion, and not being able to search by other fields. It may sound like a slight thing, but when you add up all the times we search, it adds up. Thank you for considering!
I've heard that the search is improved and allows for email, zip, etc. search but I have yet to experience that! And it's so needed!
