When there are issues in a Gift Batch for recurring gifts (say an inactive fund is marked), you were previously allowed to update the Acknowledgment Status at that point (Do Not Acknowledge, Acknowledged, etc). That option has now been removed with a new update making you have to go back into the donor's record to update once the gift is approved. Bring it back! It made it so quick and easy!
Without knowing your exact scenario, I can only really gift a best guess answer. For the most part, if you have specific fields you know you need to edit, or specific fields you know you always want to see in a batch when in the grid view, that is what you can use the templates for. In Gifts > Overview you can setup a template with the structure you are looking for and when you click to edit a batch, you can apply that template to get the view you need to complete the action.
Do you mean in Batch templates? I don't have (or use) any templates besides what's pre-set on NXT. Can I edit that? The only one I'm really referring to now is the one when there are errors/issues in a batch that need to be reviewed.
@Anthony, where can I configure? Since I don't have any batches in need of a review, I can't see that option. Please advise. Thanks!
The previous edit screen had every single field available and it couldn't be adjusted at all. Most users do not want to see the full list so the update that was just released allows for the quick add of a template. The best solution is to come up with a template design that fits your specific needs, exactly what columns you want to see in the desired order and you can stamp that batch with that view in a couple clicks.
This is just for the edit screen, the approval page has not been changed at all. Long term I would love to merge them into one page but for now we have the entry experience and the approval page separate.
Would it be possible for the auto generated gift batches for BBMS online gifts to have all the same fields that were available for gift review/approval prior to the change to grid batch as columns?
This would restore the data fields users are used to seeing in the gift review/approval process without having to add columns each time. I appreciate you being open responsive to our needs, Anthony!
This is available. For auto generated batches they will open with only the required fields for a gift. You are able to click Configure columns or apply a template that contains the Acknowledgement status (or any other column) and make changes before approval.
