In the old RE NXT Batch, when we selected an Appeal, the system would automatically fill in the Campaign, Fund, and Package for based on that appeal’s settings.
In the new Grid Batch, these fields stay blank. I now have to manually search for and click every single field for every gift. Additionally, the Package field shows every package in the system instead of just the ones linked to my selected Appeal.
I did this to start with and then realised you need to complete the actual template with the fields you want to carry across, ie campaign, appeal etc, and then you just end up having to enter the username and amount (in my case) so If you create a template and fill the template in with the details you require - it pulls it through and you wont need to search for each field anymore. You can also use the import the template or chose a template during your batch.
I set up default campaign/fund/appeal/packages so that the gift entry person does not have to stop and search/click for it. Would love to see this functionality added to Grid Batch View.
Yes, I support my colleagues, which significantly reduces the risk of errors
Please remove the option to see all packages. We should only see the packages that correspond to the appeal being used.
Blackbaud suggested a workaround where we make each package description unique . This is not realistic. We manage hundreds of appeals, and this workaround quickly becomes unmanageable. The current setup is unbearable for day‑to‑day use.
Absolutely! On our side, this would really help too!
