Apply Batch Grid View Template to existing batch

We uses an online donation form using the Blackbaud Sky API. The batch is created each day by the API. When reviewing web gifts we need to see more columns than are shown by default but we cannot apply a template to quickly get the right columns showing. We need to pick them individually.

Please allow us to apply a batch template to an existing batch.

As a workaround we will create a new batch, apply a batch tempate, move the web gifts into this batch, then delete the batch created by the API. This is a long workaround when being able to apply a template to an existing batch should be a simple fix.

Agreed - this is a migration blocker for us! We currently use Online Express, and have pre-created batch templates we use for Online Gifts and can have the gifts go into that batch. While I like the new GridView layout, not being able to use a pre-created batch template for the online gifts simply WILL NOT WORK. During the height of our appeal, we process sometimes 700+ online transactions on a Monday after the weekend. I cannot manually move 700+ gifts into a new batch. Please implement the ability to apply a pre-made template to an existing batch ASAP!

Not being able to assign a batch template to a batch from BBMS isn't an issue for us today. Blackbaud is pushing users to use Online Forms vs. Online Express and this will be a huge issue for us when we move to Online Forms. This is a migration blocker.

What's with the update? I edit every gift coming in from BBMS but now, I have to ALSO configure the field columns as we need the extra information. Why can't a template be created for the BBMS donations or why can't we create one and select it to be specific for our use?

This grid view is horrible! It happened at the worst possible time, 2 weeks prior to my annual gala, which means numerous online gift batches daily. The inability to automatically apply a template to each online batch and the need to manually add fields each time are time-consuming and extremely inconvenient. Where we notified that this was coming? It came as a complete shock to me. Maybe I missed something? Help! Is there a way to revert to the old interface until this is fixed?

This needs to be implemented ASAP! I was negatively surprised by the rollout of grid view, and overall disappointed in Blackbaud that any new features would be rolled out at all without complete functionality available. My workflow is horribly interrupted.

The ability to apply batch grid view templates to batches automatically created by Blackbaud Merchant Services would be a huge improvement, and the sooner, the better, please!

We edit batch gifts on every gift coming from BBMS before approving. It would be a huge step in efficiency to be able to edit batch gifts using a grid batch template I've customized and saved, rather than configure columns with every single batch.

The new batch grid view is a huge step. Thank you! Being able to apply a saved template to edit automatically-created batches would take it to the next level.

This needs to be alleviated ASAP. Not being able to apply a template to a batch is incredibly problematic and time consuming for my organization. Not only is going in each time and selecting the same columns for every single batch super time consuming, but then they are all in a random order that doesn't follow a natural line of progression (unless you want to take even more time to move them all around)! I came back from the long weekend with 4 batches to edit and commit. We have an online 2-month long campaign starting in April that will likely lead to me have 3-4 batches a day. I don't have time to reconfigure my batch every single time there is a new one. Please fix this.

This is also a big problem for us, we need to be able to apply the batch template to the batches that are created from the online donation forms.

We are having this issue too! We need to be able to set a default template for gifts that automatically go into a batch go into OR to be able to apply the template to those batches. It would be an easy fix on the developers side to allow that and would save on our workload A LOT!!

I was just going to log a new idea for this too- not being able to apply a batch template to automatic gift batches is a real problem for us. Having to manually apply the relevant columns to each new automatic batch adds so much additional work!
