In webview, some search fields try to search as you are typing in them and some need you to hit enter or click on the magnifying glass to start the search. It is incredibly frustrating that this behavior is not standard across webview.
I suggest converting all webview search fields to requiring that you hit enter or click the magnifying glass to start. The areas where search tries to trigger WHILE you are typing the search term are incredibly frustrating. In Funds for example, sometimes it is on a hair trigger and starts trying to search after I've only typed one character. Even a millisecond pause will trigger the search. This means I have to wait while it goes through it's whole search to bring up anything matching that ONE character and then try to start typing again. Sometimes it tries to trigger a search several times while I'm simply trying to type one word. It is incredibly frustrating and I'm a very fast typist. I'm sometimes searching for several funds in a row and this system behavior makes it take 3 times longer than it needs to take to do a very simple task.
Please convert all search field across webview (including those within query and reports and especially those for searching for constituents, Funds, Appeals) to click to search fields. It is so much less frustrating to tell the system when you're ready for it to search than having it interrupt your typing to search for whatever portion of data you've entered.
I've chosen Constituents as a category for this, but this Idea is really for a system-wide UX change.
Consistency PLEASE!!!!

I struggle with this also. I'm trying to type in my keywords, don't realize it's doing the search character by character timing-wise, and then have to go back and delete and start over because it's skipped past some of my typing. This slows me down in my work day.
