Find inactive constituents in NXT gift batch

We sometimes receive donations from donors who are inactive. In database view it's easy to find the record, add the gift and make the record active again, all from the gift batch. In NXT gift batch, you cannot search for inactive records. We risk getting duplicates, unless our gift entry person searches for the record outside of the batch, makes it active, and then goes back into the batch to search again. It would be much easier if it was possible to search for inactive records within NXT gift batch.

Created a new Idea for this function in Online Data Review. Everyone please go upvote that! All search fields within NXT should automatically have this function.

We are working on bringing the inactive constituents to web view batch now. Should be available soon.

For online review, we should probably have a separate idea posted so that team can track that request.

Both in batch and in Online Data Review, if I can't immediately find the person I then have to go to Database to search to see if they exist as an Inactive record. I've accidentally created so many duplicate records due to this issue. Because NXT can find Inactive records in the general search, we need ALL search features within NXT to include Inactive records - or at the very least a check box where we can opt in to including Inactive records.

Yes please - it's crazy that webview can't find inactive people in the batch when it can find them by searching. And when it then says there's a duplicate, you can't select that duplicate and add them to the batch. You still have to go to the record and untick inactive for it to appear on the batch.

Yes, please. Needing to leave the batch to search and see if the person is truly new or a returned lost/inactive donor slows down data entry and really makes it difficult to recruit data entry help when needed.
