Blackbaud pays - take off automatic check mark on donation form/Complete Cover
It upsets donors that "This platform is powered by Blackbaud at a reduced cost to us. Contribute 9% to them to continue this support" prompt is automatically checked on the donation form rather than allowing donors to opt in. Please consider the option to opt in and not have it automatically checked.

Blackbaud Pays shoudl NOT be default
Merged I dont wan't Blackbaud Pays to be the default option for event registration or online donation pages. Frankly, as an admin I want to remove this option for other users to select. There shoudl be more administrative controls for these options.Reviewed: Voting Open

Fees Automatically Unchecked
Merged Right now, the transactions fee option is automatically checked and the donor must manually uncheck it. We would prefer it to be automatically unchecked, truly giving the donor the option to opt in or notReviewed: Voting Open

Totally agree with this post and the comments. It feels shady for donors to have to deselect this option in order not to get charged 9%, which is actually a pretty high percentage. We just had to go through the refund process after getting a phone call from a confused and concerned donor. This kind of thing could potentially damage the trust between donors and the organization. I think this option should not be automatically selected in the donation form. If a donor truly intends to contribute in this way, they should be able to manually select the option.
Agreed Laura! This should not be the default
Opting in is better for stewardship of donors. Having the box default to yes, can cause donors to feel like you're trying to trick them into donations more money.
