Currently if a gift is being automatically processed in WebView then you cannot delete an amendment (even if it was added in DBV). You also cannot update any amendment data fields for past amendments if a new amendment has been added to the record.
There are times that someone will accidentally add an amendment to the wrong record and we need to delete the mistakenly added amendment.
There are also times when someone mis-keys some information on an adjustment record and then a new adjustment has been added afterward. When we go to clean-up the database it will not allow us to delete erroneous information because it is on a previous adjustment record (e.g., Letter Code); If we had the ability to either change the erroneous data on a previous amendment, or we were able to delete the amendment that was added after it (as we can currently do in DBV), then we would be able to clean up our database of erroneous data points.
