As much as having the granular event capacities is nice for certain circumstances, it is also crucial to have an overarching event capacity limit. A lot of events are limited by venue capacities, online meeting room capacities, etc. and as such it is really difficult and a lot of hard work to keep any eye on overall numbers and adjust all of the corresponding ticket types every time an individual books in, especially for large events of hundreds of people.

I should be able to set a hard limit of say 300 people, and then have individual numbers below (e.g. a possible 100 VIP tickets, but also a possible 300 regular tickets; 300 dinner and drinks tickets, but also 300 just dinner tickets) to allow for all scenarios.

This should also automatically shut the registration form completely, rather than manually having to change the time at which the form shuts to a past time.
