Add ability to set a max capacity for the whole event

Be able to set a max capacity for the whole event, this is especially important for events with multiple ticket types, especially table tickets that include multiple registrants

This is critical for our organization. We will have to move to a new event platform entirely if NXT doesn't offer the ability to limit capacity at the event level. Please make this a priority!

This is SO important! Limiting capacity to the ticket type makes no sense. We offer discounted rates for new graduates. There is no way to tell how many alumni will purchase tickets and how many new graduates will purchase tickets. We have to be able to set a specific total capacity limit, not per ticket type. And leaving capacity open creates a nightmare if ticket sales go over, especially if it's for a venue like a baseball game where you've only purchased a specific number. If sales goes over, you then have to contact people and refund their money.

yesssssssss for the love of dog! My staff are furious that they're having to close registrations in the middle of the night!

this is killing us. We have a membership model and they get discounted tickets for events and programs. we can't anticipate how many members v nonmembers will register and so we need total event capacity returned ASAP> my staff are livid.

This is so crucial, especially since it was available in Online Express

I used to be able to set capacity limits on a form that had 2 different fees so students could pay at a discount. For in-person events where space is limited, this is a crucial feature, and until it's back the event form is useless for us unless it's an online/Zoom event.

"Please consider adding the option to set event capacity at the event level OR at the ticket level." This is vital.

Where did this feature go? I need to be able to limit total registrations on my event with different fees. Looking back to an old event, there was a checkbox (that's still there!!) that says "Limit capacity for this form" but when creating the form for this year's event the only option is to close registration on a certain date! Why did this feature get removed?

Definitely need to be able to cap the number over the whole event to cater for different ticket types, otherwise you constantly have to check the numbers.

I completely agree! Sometimes our event cap is 20 people, but we have different fees, and, unless we constantly check the numbers, we risk to overbook it... And then we need to contact participants, process refunds etc etc which is never nice! The total cap should work across different fees!

While we appreciate the ability to limit capacity at the ticket level for some events, some events we prefer to set the capacity at the event level. Please consider adding the option to set event capacity at the event level OR at the ticket level. One example is our annual golf outing. We are limited to 26 foursomes total, but that might include any combination of tickets, (i.e. 104 individual golfers, 26 foursomes, Title sponsor (includes 2 foursomes), and 24 foursomes, etc.)

A step backwards. Capacity and messaging functions needed.

    Seconding this comment:

Also the function previously allowed for a message when an event was fully booked - we used to give a message regarding a waitlist email
