I would like the chat support feature to have an option to make a sound when the support agent has responded. This would allow me to efficiently work on other things on other windows while the support person is working on the solving the problem. Then when they are ready for me to look at their response, I would hear a ding that would allow me to promptly be back in the chat. Currently I feel like the only option is to do nothing and stare at the screen waiting for them to research and find solutions. Thank you for considering!
Please add a ding back to the support chat! I don't know why it was removed when the new system was set up, but it is terrible. Support agents can disappear or not respond sometimes for 5-10 min. if they are working on something for you, and if you don't respond within 2-4 min. They close the entire chat and you've lost a live agent. It is deeply frustrating and so much of those drops would be solved/not happen with having some sort of sound when they respond to you. We are all working on numerous things, requiring us to stare at the chat while we wait so we don't lose them is ridiculous, inefficient, and takes more time to get another agent back to reread where you were in the solution/support. Most support chats in other programs offer a sound/alert of some kind, please include this as an option or have it as a default. It makes Blackbaud support less supportive by not having it.
