When a new gift is added it needs to be automatically updated in the giving history, and in queries and reports. It shows immediately in Giving History. However, if you run a query and notice missing information, come out and input missing gift information, then run the query again, the new gifts do not appear for hours. There is no refresh button, to force an update. This is very frustrating. You just cannot rely on the output and whether it is an up to date reflection of donations received, even though the giving history shows the new gifts have been added.
There's not even a way to know when a report is "refreshed" other than running it again and checking it against what you know or checking with database view. When dbv goes away, I will have no way to trust/verify any giving totals, which is maddening! Do I just delay all my work 24 hours? Tell people here's a report but it may or may not be correct? This cannot be what you want for customers. . .
Absolutely, this was less of an issue when gift entry, edits etc. were all done in database view but now we use webview for more this is vital.
Lists need to be updated immediately too, including the donor's Work with gifts list. After a change, until the next refresh and there is no telling when that will be, it does not match the giving history tile.
Returning to this again to comment as I've already voted and commented last year - in addition to faster updating after adding a new gift, faster updating after DELETING a gift is important so that I don't get a heart attack when the pledge I've just deleted in web view seems to still be on the record making me wonder what I might have deleted by accident.
This is really vital particularly as we move towards unified view being the only view!
I get several concerns from fundraisers when lists don't update with gifts added for over an hour sometimes... This is very slow compared to a lot of tools!
