The program is automatically inserting unwanted text — “Donor-entered text: '[tribute name]'”— into the Tribute Description field during Online Data Review of Online Giving Gifts. Despite reporting this to Customer Service, they insist it is not a bug and that this issue is actually intentional by the developers, leaving us to manually remove the extra text from each record. See attached file for visual of what is entered by the system. Please change this.
This also causes an error when using the export function from database view. Error message reads as "Type Mismatch" if the export has the tribute description as a field (export format being used is .csv). Once the text "Donor-entered text:" is removed, the export will run just fine.
Tribute description is used to easily identify which tribute the gift is to be linked to when a constituent has more than one present. I'll frequently use this as the merge field into letters (instead of 'Honor/Memorial Name') because of it's customization.
There is no purpose - in my opinion - for the "Donor-entered text" to be added - this I would suspect also will complicate duplicate constituents when tributes to the constituent are freqently made online.
Please fix!!! Attaching screenshot of what NXT created from the form, and what had to be resolved.
