We have 16,000 recurring gifts that are processed online, which we then import into Raiser's Edge. In web view when importing these gifts they are processed as "manual" recurring gifts, and the Next Scheduled Payment Date does not get updated.
We will NOT be moving these gifts into Raiser's Edge, because the Raiser's Edge functionality is nowhere near up to standard. Please correct your system so that manual recurring gifts also update the schedule.
Yes, this is very frustrating that these gifts aren't updating. Because the majority of our recurring gifts are processed through a 3rd party processor and imported through Omatic Cloud into NXT, this has made all of the Recurring Gift reports and dashboard insights in Raiser's Edge completely useless for our organization. This is just another example of us having to turn to 3rd party platforms to do meaningful reporting and analysis of our Raiser's Edge data. If we're all expected to move everything to webview, then bugs like these need to fixed in order to make the system functional for analysis.
I hadn’t been using the NXT webview gift management batch entry process because its functionality wasn’t fully developed. Recently, I started using Omatic Cloud to reduce manual entry, but I’m now encountering issues with the automated process not functioning fully, which makes me hesitant to continue gift entry. I’m uncertain how Blackbaud plans to encourage users to transition to NXT when it doesn’t yet support such a crucial feature. Every customer expects gift entry to be easy, fast, and require minimal manual effort—yet, above all, data accuracy is critical. Efficiency cannot come at the cost of data integrity.
