The newest changes to the consent tile in webview aren't working for us. We now have to go back into database view to make the changes we want to if someone has opted out when they had previously opted in. We use the category for mail to say whether they've opted into all mailings or just specific ones. We just had to opt someone out of postal mailings and you can only do that as an opt out against the channel, not against the category. We have a query that picks up any consent entered for mail that doesn't have a category so we picked him up as an error, then noticed that the only way to add the category is to do it in database view.
It wasn't working perfectly before in that you had to pick the category first and then choose the opt in or opt out, but once you remembered to do that, it was ok. Now it's not even letting you opt them out of the category if you opt them out of mail. This is not a good solution.
Also, having to do each channel individually when you could previously do them all in one go seems crazy. It's now no quicker and in fact harder to do it rather than just using database view which is scary given that you're going to turn it off.
I think this seems to be an issue for those who have chosen to use Categories to record different options. If you have your consent just configured for the channel only then this works really well. Unfortunately for us we do use Categories and we are finding exactly the same issue Rachel mentions in her comment. The tile seems to just display the last consent response for the category rather than factor in that the opt-in for the channel level overrules if its the later consent.
Just come up against this problem - if someone wants to opt-out of say postal mail for events then I have to opt them into mail across the board at the same time which conflicts with the fact they want to opt out of one type
