Following the recent consent update on week commencing August 4th, 2025, the functionality to select multiple communication channels when adding consent has been removed. Currently, we are required to create a separate consent record for each individual channel (e.g., email, mail, phone). This also involves re-entering the consent statement information and privacy notice for every single channel, which significantly increases the time and effort needed for a task that was previously streamlined.
In many cases, constituents opt-in to multiple communication channels at once. The inability to record these consents in a single action introduces unnecessary duplication and inefficiency.
We would like to request the reinstatement of the ability to select and apply consent across multiple channels simultaneously, as was possible prior to this update. This enhancement would greatly improve workflow efficiency while maintaining compliance and accuracy.
