Left-Hand Navigation ensure when a user expands a Feature Area's selection panel and selects an area function (such as Settings > Control panel) that the selection panel stays expanded until the user actively collapses it.

Currently there is inconsistency on when selection panels stay open. Sometimes the selection panels stay open when a selection is made and other times they all close.

Maybe it is because the whole Left-Hand Navigation refreshes when a selection is made? Is there a way to stop this from refreshing when a selection is made?
