As an organization that relies heavily on constituent codes for querying, adding the functionality to better define and/or exclude specific constituent codes and demographic information in dashboards would allow users to segment records in more helpful ways. For instance, I want to view giving information on the alumni dashboard I built, but want to exclude any alumni who may now also be trustees, as their giving drastically skews the totals and averages since they contribute a minimum to the organization each year. Alternatively, there could be an option to create a dashboard that references a set list. In this scenario, I would just build a gift or constituent list via query that has any necessary inclusions/exclusions that I need for each unique situation.
