Add Text Message as an option on the Action menu
It would be nice to add Text Message as option on the Action menu, along with Email, Phone, Meeting, etc.

It really is crazy that in 2026 this is not already an option. A text is very different from a phone call or email.
Need text option as a category. It's very different from a phone call (a voice conversation with a person) and an email. Texting is becoming more prevalent--Blackbaud should get with the times. No way for us to analyze this communication method easily with the other categories currently available.
We use texts and really need to have this as an option when adding Actions to constituent records.

I'm shocked that this doesn't have more votes. We would like to use this to study email vs text vs phone call engagement attempts. This feature would allow us to document outreach appropriately and report on the efficacy of text outreach.

Our fundraisers are finding that donors are responding to texts much more frequently than to emails. We'd like to be able to track the response to those text actions but it's difficult to do without a Text category.
