Enable functionality to work with all event participants in NXT (Sponsors, Registrants, and Guests)
Currently only event participants coded as registrants show up in NXT. All of this new functionality has been created to support management of events from NXT, but half of the participant types are not even viewable in the event record in NXT. As such, we need to continue to operate in database view to manage event participants. It would be great if full functionality for all participants types (Sponsors, Registrants, and Guests) was moved over and not just some.

What is going on here?? I have companies that have participated in past events but you WOULD NEVER KNOW it by looking in webview!! This just needs to be fixed. We can't lose this data when dbv turns off.
I realize 'voting is open' however am concerned after reviewing the What's available in NXT feature document link https://host.nxt.blackbaud.com/renxt-features-grid/
When viewing event information, it shows Blackbaud to be undecided on whether to implement this or not.
I agree it can be confusing for some to use the sponsor/registrant/guest structure - but the facts are that this structure works. Client I'm with today has used this structure dating back to 2001 - and at present time we don't have complete/accurate event information in web view. Not an issue at present time because it is correct in database view, but the loss of this historical data would be very bad - and if Blackbaud is not going to introduce the sponsor feature, we expect some mechanism to ensure we don't lose this historical data.
Yes, we use event sponsor function for our annual walk-a-thon and competition events. The walk-a-thon in particular requires us to have registrants show up as being "Sponsored by" an organization. These registrants are also fundraisers for the event, so they have donations linked to their registrant participant records. Our reporting for the walk-a-thon will be impossible without "Sponsors" on the event records. We've been doing this event for over 40 years, and it's been in RE 7/DBV for most of those years.
It's frustrating that we are converting gift processing to Omatic cloud and finding out Event Sponsors is not a field in web view. We need this before Dec. 2026.
Definitely need to be able to add sponsors to an event!
The real problem is that the database view doesn't allow you to add guest anymore either - this is a serious problem

Couldn't agree more. As it is, events in web view is not functional. It makes no sense that sponsors have been completely ignored. I've attached a Word document
