Just as there is an option to send a mail tribute notification only and make email optional, I think it would be helpful to have the reverse option as well: send email notification, make mail optional. Lot of times our donors know the email of who they would like to honor, but not their physical address, particularly special event guests who want to honor their table host.
I wholeheartedly agree with Chris's comment: "To take it a step further, the ability to send an e-card as a part of the donation to notify someone you are making a gift would be the next level and lightens the load of gift admin and stewardship folks."
This shouldn't even be an ask in this day and age as a lot of communication happens by email only so an email only option should be a choice as administrators who set up the form. To take it a step further, the ability to send an e-card as a part of the donation to notify someone you are making a gift would be the next level and lightens the load of gfit admin and stewardship folks.
Thanks for the clarification. We have another idea posted already to have the system auto-send (essentially like a tribute ecard) so I will leave this on its own for consideration!
Hi Samantha, I personally would want to control that from our end. I'm suggesting the donor provide an email address in the donation form for the person they are giving in honor of, and then we will notify them at that email address.
Thanks for this idea! With an email only option, would you expect the system to automatically email to that honoree or would you want to to control that process in RENXT?
