These two populate in the Transaction Details merge field, but aren't available as their own merge fields (unlike most other info). The Transaction Details merge field as it stands now doesn't always work for our purposes (usually problem of info we don't want), so next best option is to put what we want using specific merge fields. Most like Gift Amount, Gift Date, etc. are available but these are pretty crucial ones that we don't have.
Pretty strange for a receipt template to have specific merge fields available for most info, but not the receipt info!
This is especially relevant for Gift in Kind receipting, which transaction details don't show Gift amount for. We want to include the gift amount, so have to add it's merge field separately. We prefer that info be at the top, but if we put it before Transaction Details, it's interrupted by the "Gift Details" header. Otherwise it has to go at the bottom - again, not ideal.
So the obvious option is use individual merge fields, but again - then we have no receipt date/status.
