FIX GIFT AMOUNT, COMMITTED INSIGHT FOR PLANNED GIFTS currently not meeting CASE guidelines.

The gift amount committed insight is not currently meeting CASE Global Reporting Guidelines regarding realized planned gifts and the original planned gift commitments.

The insight should be treating realized revenue of a planned gift in the same manner as it treats pledge payments. Rather it is zeroing out the original planned gift commitment resulting in an undercounting in the date range in which the original planned gift commitment was made and overcounting in the date range for which the gift was realized.

    Yes, we discovered this same issue in the summer of 2024. We have spent months with an open case with Blackbaud who continues to tell us that the "everything is working as designed." Even though we believe the design is flawed, they do no seem to be interested in adding an option to removed realized planned gifts from Gift Amount Committed calculations.
